The Problem

Most coaches change the wrong thing

Atomic Habits is a sound methodology. But it gives no guidance on which habit to change. Pick the wrong one and you get marginal, temporary improvement. Or none at all. The method works. The target was wrong.

Steps 1–3 of the Keystone methodology exist to solve this. They're a structured diagnostic that gets you to the right target before you spend any energy on change. Everything in this program flows from getting that right.

Before You Start
Pre-Work
Step 1
  • With a provided template, identify a problem you want to work on and complete stakeholder interviews.
Week 1
Half-Day Kickoff
Steps 1–3
  • All three diagnostic steps done together, in one guided session
  • You leave with your keystone selected.
Weeks 2–4
Microbehavior Iterations
Steps 5–7
  • Week 2: First pass: Recipe, Bridge, and Upshift in simplified form. Done is better than perfect.
  • Week 3: Iteration: Recipe precision. Sharpen the microbehaviors.
  • Week 4: Iteration: Upshift precision. Refine how the cycle closes.
Weeks 5–8
Follow-Up Coaching
15 min / week
  • Light-touch support while you deploy in real practice
  • Four calls, fifteen minutes each.
